Orthopedic Surgery

Alan Zonno, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Rockhill Orthopaedics, with fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma and Foot & Ankle Reconstruction.

Dr. Zonno originally planned to become a neurosurgeon. But on the first day of his orthopedic rotation in medical school, he assisted with a fracture reduction and was interested in orthopedics from that point forward. He is passionate about making people smile and helping them with their foot and ankle injuries.

Dr. Zonno received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Michigan School of Pharmacy. After obtaining his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, he completed residency training in Orthopaedics at Brown University in Rhode Island. He obtained his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship from Brown University and his fellowship in Foot & Ankle reconstruction from The Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction in Baltimore, Maryland.

While in residency, he was Resident of the Year at Rhode Island Hospital and was awarded other honors for excellence in patient care.

Dr. Zonno has authored numerous scientific research articles and has presented his research at both regional and national academic conferences.

In his spare time, Dr. Zonno enjoys running, biking, reading books and, as a rule of thumb, anything that keeps him on his feet.
